Our Hardware Engineering team is a dynamic and collaborative group comprising electrical, mechanical, reliability, software, and vehicle engineers. We design, construct, and perfect the technologies that serve as the sensory systems for Waymo's autonomous driving capabilities, integrating them seamlessly into vehicle platforms. We’re looking for inquisitive and skilled individuals to keep our momentum going in the right direction.
This position requires a 100% onsite work commitment and you will report to a Hardware Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement detailed board-level and module-level validation test plans for Waymo hardware, collaborating closely with electrical engineering and software teams.
- Conduct electrical validation tests for boards, systems, and occasionally silicon, covering both high-speed and low-speed interfaces, voltage regulators, and power delivery networks (PDN), while addressing thermal and voltage parameters.
- Lead and execute validation efforts to meet essential deadlines and priority objectives.
- Thoroughly document validation outcomes. Track encountered and resolved issues. Communicate test plans and results clearly.
- Assist with hardware bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting tasks.
- Improve validation efficiency and scalability through the creation of scripts and automation tools.
