Your Role:As an Electrical Engineer, you will be instrumental in the development and support of essential electrical energy management systems that power our fusion generators. Your responsibilities will encompass areas such as pulsed power delivery systems, magnetics, power electronics, low voltage controls, networking, and precision sensing amidst electrically noisy environments. Key Focus Areas:High Voltage/Pulsed Power Systems:- Design, test, troubleshoot, and scale high-voltage systems that drive pulsed magnetic coils (1- Assess and implement solid-state switching devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, SCRs/thyristors) with careful attention to losses, protection, di/dt, dv/dt, and thermal performance.- Specify and integrate high-energy components (capacitors, switches, pulse forming networks, buswork, protection, grounding). Power Electronics:- Design, test, scale, and integrate DC/DC, AC/DC, and DC/AC converters for energy delivery, recovery, and distribution covering hundreds to thousands of volts.- Develop switching-stage designs including half/full bridges, phase control, among others.
