ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE & GENERATION
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the engineering and construction of both temporary and permanent power generation facilities, including gas/diesel generators, gas turbines, solar arrays, and hybrid systems, to meet energy demands and minimize peak grid stress.
- Manage the construction and commissioning of power generation infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient installation and integration with existing power distribution and utility services.
- Create and implement maintenance programs for power systems, encompassing predictive maintenance schedules, performance monitoring, and system upgrades for enhanced reliability and longevity.
- Conduct comprehensive power system analyses, including load forecasting, energy modeling, and optimization for cost-efficiency in a high-demand manufacturing context.
- Collaborate with utility providers to negotiate and implement grid interconnections, while designing resilient on-site generation systems to reduce downtime during outages or expansions.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on power generation equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations while coordinating with contractors for larger issues and repairs.
- Promote innovation in sustainable power solutions by integrating energy storage and renewable sources into permanent generation facilities.
- Work with site personnel to develop long-term facility load ramps, assessing power needs across various buildings and product teams to inform energy procurement and utility or generation expansion.
- Support the overall facility power strategy through effective risk management, budgeting, and reporting on generation performance metrics.
