Your Role as an Electrical Engineer
As a key member of our Ground Systems team, you will develop critical components for aircraft landing, charging, loading, and launching. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a solid foundation in electrical engineering design and a deep understanding of electronics development, processes, and tools. Your responsibilities will involve designing hardware for our next-generation ground systems, focusing on areas such as microprocessors, high-speed communications, GNSS, brushless DC motor drives, power supplies, battery chargers, and more.
Your work will be pivotal in enabling autonomous takeoff and landing for our next-generation aircraft and facilitating seamless integration with shipper sites, allowing Zipline's deliveries to scale from 100,000 per year to 100 million worldwide. Collaborate with top-tier engineers across various disciplines and experience levels in an environment that promotes personal development, continuous learning, and mentorship.
Our Ground Systems team faces unique challenges in designing robust systems to provide life-saving services in some of the harshest environments on the planet. From the outset of every project, you'll play a vital role in system architecture, focusing on performance, reliability, and fault tolerance while balancing mass and cost. This includes designing UL-compliant systems to ensure the safety of our employees and customers.
