HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEEDA minimum of 6 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in Health, Education, and/or Science and Technology projects is preferred. LEED accreditation is a plus. Independent, analytical thinker with a focus on process development. Possess a solid working knowledge and experience while seeking to acquire advanced knowledge. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to manage multiple projects effectively. Proficiency in engineering design software applications (e.g., Revit, AGI32, Visual, SKM Power Tools) is required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will join our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team and collaborate under the guidance of a senior engineer. Your projects will encompass a variety of sectors including educational institutions, healthcare facilities, sports complexes, corporate offices, and science and technology initiatives.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Engage in collaborative project planning sessions and may take the initiative to lead.
  • Take on project engineering responsibilities while ensuring adherence to financial and work objectives.
  • Initiate and develop innovative project designs, focusing on electrical engineering systems for building construction.
  • Design lighting, power distribution, signaling, communications, and telecommunication systems for clients in healthcare and education sectors, following all applicable codes.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications. Mentor junior team members in the execution of these drawings.
  • Conduct quality control checks on engineering documents and layout systems regarding components and parts.
  • Participate in value engineering sessions with the Architectural/Engineering team.
  • Propose enhancements to reference standards and processes to boost quality, coordination, and streamline efforts.
  • Review and markup shop drawings and submittals. Respond to RFIs and manage change orders during the preparation of construction documents.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor construction progress. Actively participate in construction meetings, which will often require physical site walkthroughs.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
