Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Instrumentation and Controls to join our dynamic team in Oak Ridge, TN.

Our headquarters in Oak Ridge, Tennessee allows us to serve various programs across the nation, including partnerships with DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense.

In this role, you will play a vital part in developing high-quality design packages, providing engineering procurement, and offering field technical support to implement these designs. You will leverage your expertise to troubleshoot and assess plant systems effectively.

Your responsibilities will include creating conceptual engineering deliverables, cost estimates, statements of work, design criteria, and detailed design engineering outputs such as calculations, construction specifications, and equipment specifications. You will also conduct walkdowns of existing plant facilities to generate design documents and support craft personnel in the field.

Electrical Engineers at Navarro apply their extensive technical knowledge and a broad range of engineering principles with a focus on instrumentation and controls for equipment process monitoring and control. You will be expected to develop self-performed technical solutions to various challenges by adhering to established engineering practices, codes, and standards.

In addition, you will be responsible for preparing conduit and cable schedules, equipment plans, one-line diagrams, wiring and connection schematics, loop diagrams, sections, elevations, details, calculations, datasheets, and construction specifications. You will also create control cabinet assembly drawings and system diagrams, developing control logic for both batch and continuous processes utilizing conventional analog instrumentation, distributed digital control systems, and PLC/HMI technologies. Additionally, you will assist in developing process control narratives and input for Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
