Project Responsibilities:

Each project features unique tasks, and contributors may be involved in:

  • Crafting innovative computational engineering problems that replicate authentic engineering workflows;
  • Formulating challenges that necessitate Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations;
  • Ensuring the tasks are computationally demanding and require numerical methods or iterative solutions;
  • Creating problems centered around system design, optimization, and analytical processes;
  • Developing tasks based on real-world research challenges or practical applications within engineering;
  • Validating solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries;
  • Providing clear documentation for problem statements along with verified correct solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

This role is suited for engineers with Python expertise who are open to part-time, non-permanent projects. The preferred qualifications include:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline;
  • Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or other domain-specific libraries will also be considered;
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching contexts;
  • A solid grasp of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
  • Exceptional written English skills (C1+ level);
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects will be advantageous.

Time Commitment:

During active phases, tasks are expected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week, based on the project demands. This is an estimated range and may vary according to project activity.

Compensation:

Contributors can earn up to $37 per hour, depending on their experience level and contribution speed. Compensation may vary across different projects based on their specific scope, complexity, and expertise requirements.
