AECOM has been a steadfast partner of Uisce Éireann since the inception of its Resident Engineer program seven years ago. We are currently seeking Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineers (Senior M&E REs, M&E REs & Assistant M&E REs) to expand our team and support the execution of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Investment Plan.As a Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineer, you will collaborate with Uisce Éireann framework providers to ensure the projects meet the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will encompass major water and wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, including the development and enhancement of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, the National Generator program, Electrical Upgrade program, and capital maintenance projects across all counties in the Republic of Ireland.In line with the commitment to safety that Uisce Éireann and AECOM uphold, you will act as a safety ambassador in this role, proactively fostering a safety culture and ensuring that all safety policies and standards are implemented on the construction projects.Key Responsibilities:Focus on the Mechanical & Electrical components of the projects.Oversee the execution of site-based infrastructure projects for Uisce Éireann, ensuring adherence to health & safety, quality, environmental, program, and budgetary requirements.Evaluate and monitor contractor documentation and performance, including MEICA design submissions, RAMS, quality plans, FDS, commissioning plans, and compliance with contractual obligations.Supervise MEICA construction activities, conduct safety reviews, and quality audits, ensuring work is carried out safely in accordance with equipment specifications and approved plans.Oversee commissioning activities, including FAT, SAT testing, system testing, process proving, and compliance with performance guarantees.Manage commercial elements of contracts, including evaluating interim and final accounts, variations, claims, and contractor performance against KPIs.Foster and maintain effective communication with the Project Team, Employer’s Representative, Local Authorities, utility providers, landowners, and the public to ensure coordination and transparency.
