Position Overview:

We are on the lookout for an Electrical Engineer with a robust electrical engineering foundation who is enthusiastic about ensuring product sustainability and supporting intricate ecosystems throughout mass production and beyond. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive on pinpointing, addressing, and resolving issues while continually enhancing testing processes for reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and conduct thorough, cross-functional analyses to resolve complex system-level challenges.

  • Enhance product quality through rigorous technical validation of components and subsystems.

  • Conduct electrical failure analysis (FA) on customer returns, RMAs, and field failures to pinpoint design, component, or process flaws.

  • Manage and implement design modifications to bolster reliability and manufacturability.

  • Initiate changes and validations in electrical components and PCBs to tackle issues or adapt to supply chain modifications.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in electrical validation and testing.

  • Proficient in diagnosing PCBA and system-level failures.

  • Thorough understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power management, and mixed-signal systems.

  • Proficient in schematic design.

  • Familiar with laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, power analyzers, and power supplies.

  • Proven track record of collecting, organizing, and analyzing field data.

  • Possess a strong ownership mentality and effective cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Experience with high-speed camera interfaces (MIPI CSI, D-PHY, and C-PHY).

Compensation: At Skydio, we offer competitive compensation packages for full-time employees, including base salaries, stock options, and comprehensive benefits. Salary ranges from $127,000 to $180,000, depending on skills and experience.
