Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport instrumentation-related threat mitigation action plans and incident management investigations. Ensure the seamless real-time operation of the instrumentation system through technical studies and data analysis, developing strategies and documenting procedures. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to create efficient and reliable electrical design packages for low and medium voltage electrical infrastructure. Lead the Instrumentation and Control design for projects, defining control schemes in accordance with industry and client standards to meet power system reliability requirements. Review data sheets, control block diagrams, and functional/operational descriptions for all instrumentation-related projects. Provide technical leadership and act as a subject matter expert, offering professional guidance on programs, projects, and initiatives. Mentor and support team members, encouraging their development as engineers and technical leaders.

Role Overview

The Electrical Instrumentation Engineer will join the Data Center Facilities Engineering Design team. This position centers on designing and developing instrumentation and control systems for electrical distribution in data centers. The engineer will provide technical leadership in system modernization and maintenance, helping to ensure reliable and effective project outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Support the design and development of instrumentation and control systems for electrical distribution systems in data centers.
  • Offer technical leadership and subject matter expertise for system modernization and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop plans, schematics, and one-line diagrams for projects.
  • Lead instrumentation and control projects, ranging from small upgrades to large-scale initiatives, with a focus on reliability and technical execution.

Location

This role is open to remote work in several states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. On-site options are available in Dallas, TX; Kansas City, MO; and Omaha, NE.
