Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct trade studies related to the architecture of external lighting systems.
- Engage with potential suppliers to evaluate their capabilities in terms of technical specifications, risks, quality, cost, and weight.
- Develop, validate, and verify requirements for equipment, subsystems, and system levels in accordance with ARP4754 standards.
- Create and review essential engineering deliverables throughout the development to certification phases, including drawings, ICDs, test plans, test procedures/reports, technical requirement documents, and manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., installation, maintainability, human factors, pilot) to establish interface definitions.
- Lead testing efforts to integrate the External Lighting System into external labs and Flight Test Facilities.
- Support safety activities as per ARP4761 tasks including FHA, PSSA, CMA, FMEA, and SSA.
- Aid in the development of low voltage electrical system power distribution.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
