Why This Role Matters

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, your expertise will be pivotal in aiding our engineering and delivery teams in establishing automated manufacturing lines, as well as in the assembly, testing, and validation of the critical electrical and mechanical components vital for our fusion energy systems. Your technical acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive mindset are essential for our success. This is a swing shift position from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Your Responsibilities

  • Oversee inventory management, including receiving deliveries and controlling stock of equipment and manufacturing supplies.
  • Contribute significantly to the setup of the manufacturing site through equipment installation, facility development, and storage solutions.
  • Draft, finalize, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and related documentation.
  • Lead the assembly, installation, and upkeep of our fusion systems.
  • Assist the engineering team throughout the design, development, and testing stages of the fusion system.
  • Diagnose, repair, and optimize equipment to reduce downtime and enhance productivity.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure effective systems integration.
  • Maintain the manufacturing area by implementing 5S principles, ensuring that all tools and equipment are organized and accessible.
