Key ResponsibilitiesConduct precise assembly and integration of satellite mechanism subsystems (hinges, release mechanisms, actuators, deployment systems). Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, wiring schematics, and assembly protocols. Install and route electrical harnesses, connectors, and sensors with high precision in constrained spaces. Perform functional, environmental, and acceptance testing (e.g., deployment tests, torque verification, limit switch validation). Support mechanism testing, including vibration, thermal vacuum (TVAC), and lifecycle testing. Troubleshoot anomalies during integration and testing; execute rework and corrective actions as necessary. Handle flight hardware while complying with contamination control and ESD protocols. Document build and test data, non-conformances, and work completed in manufacturing systems. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and test teams to address issues and enhance processes. Maintain tooling, fixtures, and test setups used for mechanism integration and validation. QualificationsAssociate degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical technology (or equivalent hands-on experience). A minimum of 2 years of experience in precision mechanical assembly and/or electrical integration. Proficient in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and schematics. Experience with hand tools, torque tools, and basic electrical testing equipment (multimeter, continuity tester).
