About Dominion Dynamics
At Dominion Dynamics, we are pioneering Canada's first modern defense prime, focusing on software-defined, attritable, and sovereign systems. Our vision is that the future of military power will not depend solely on advanced platforms but rather on the intelligent integration of adaptable, AI-driven capabilities across all domains. We are committed to designing systems that are fielded alongside operators, embodying sovereignty, and upholding Canada's democratic values.
Our rapid deployment capabilities with the Canadian Armed Forces, particularly in the Arctic, highlight our dedication to operating within Canadian laws and treaty obligations while respecting the CAF community.
Our founding team boasts former operators from leading organizations such as Anduril, Google, Amazon, and the Canadian Armed Forces. We are committed to developing advanced technology in challenging environments and are searching for innovative thinkers who excel at the crossroads of autonomy, aerospace, and national security.
Why This Role Matters
The foundation of every mission thread lies in reliable sensing. In challenging and noisy environments, the quality of data is contingent upon intelligent sensor selection, clean signal paths, and robust integration into embedded systems. This position is crucial for transforming diverse sensing needs into calibrated, low-noise, EMI/EMC-compliant hardware that withstands field conditions and provides dependable measurements to the software stack, effectively bridging the gap from laboratory prototypes to operational capabilities.
The Role: Electronics Engineer - Circuit & Sensor
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and validating sensor interfaces and supporting electronics. This includes everything from sensor selection and signal conditioning to PCB design, calibration, and field verification, collaborating closely with firmware, mechanical, and power teams.
What You’ll Do
Design, prototype, and test electronic circuits for interfacing with a vast array of sensors (e.g., optical, environmental, geospatial, spectral, chemical).
Assess and select suitable sensors based on performance metrics, accuracy, environmental conditions, and budget.
Develop and implement signal conditioning, amplification, and filtering circuits for sensor outputs.
Integrate sensors into embedded systems, ensuring compatibility with power systems, microcontrollers, ADCs, and communication interfaces in accordance with MIL-STDs and other relevant standards.
