Join us as a Housing Maintenance Supervisor (FTE), where your role will encompass a variety of crucial responsibilities, including but not limited to:Championing a culture of safety and zero tolerance for unsafe practices, ensuring adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations.Conducting regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring that all team members are prepared and trained for their tasks.Overseeing the maintenance and condition of Kumba-owned housing units, ensuring they remain safe, habitable, and compliant with industry standards.Supervising all aspects of housing maintenance, including electrical systems, plumbing, sewage, drainage systems, roofing, doors, windows, and general civil works.Implementing planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance in line with approved schedules, prioritizing statutory and critical maintenance tasks for timely execution.Verifying that all maintenance work adheres to technical standards and quality specifications.Translating weekly and monthly maintenance plans into actionable daily tasks, coordinating with artisans, maintenance teams, and contractors for efficient execution.Monitoring the progress of maintenance activities, addressing any deviations, and ensuring proper documentation in maintenance management systems.Inspecting completed maintenance work for quality assurance, identifying recurring issues, and providing technical guidance to artisans and maintenance staff.Engaging with local municipal authorities on operational housing matters, facilitating inspections, service connections, and addressing any service interruptions impacting housing maintenance.
