The Role
As a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be an essential part of our dynamic team, working on the front lines of emergency veterinary care where every second is crucial. You will be responsible for managing a variety of cases ranging from minor to complex emergencies, collaborating closely with our veterinarians to provide gold-standard, compassionate care. Your responsibilities will include triage, treatment, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while offering support to pet owners during their most challenging moments. This position is ideal for individuals eager to apply their training, expand their skills, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to every patient and owner, ensuring they feel supported throughout their journey.
- Act decisively to deliver nursing care and emotional support during critical situations, from triage through to discharge.
- Administer medications and perform monitoring tasks, including IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to treatment planning.
- Be prepared to perform CPR as a certified RECOVER professional, with ongoing training provided.
