Position Overview

The Engineering Development Program (EDP) is tailored for outstanding recent graduates aspiring to become Industrial Engineers. This program focuses on high-volume operations within the space industry, essential for the rapid deployment of our Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation.

As part of this program, participants will embark on their careers on the spacecraft production floor as Engineering Technicians supporting Micron Operations. This role offers hands-on experience in the assembly, testing, and integration of flight components for the satellite's phased array.

As participants showcase their technical skills and leadership potential, they will follow a structured development path:

Engineering Technician → Associate Manufacturing Engineer → Manufacturing Engineer or Flight Assurance Engineer or Industrial Engineer or Supervisor

This program presents a unique opportunity to cultivate engineers with comprehensive understanding of spacecraft hardware. Participants will engage in hands-on assembly, early leadership development, and experience a smooth transition into engineering roles. They will gain invaluable experience in building flight hardware, leading technical teams, and supporting large-scale spacecraft production.

Key Responsibilities

Phase 1 – Engineering Technician

Participants will commence the program working directly with spacecraft hardware in support of Micron Operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Executing hands-on assembly and integration of flight components.
  • Assisting in mechanical integration, alignment, and fastening of microns in the phased array.
  • Supporting bonding, adhesives, potting, and precision assembly processes in compliance with engineering procedures and workmanship standards.
  • Adhering to strict cleanroom protocols, including ESD and FOD controls when handling flight hardware.
