Role Overview: Engineering Intern - Testing and Validation

We are seeking an Engineering Intern for the summer in San Leandro, CA. This position reports to the Engineering Manager of the Testing & Validation Group within our New Technology and Product Development (NTPD) Team. The NTPD team includes engineers and technicians with a wide range of experience, including several with advanced degrees.

The intern will work closely with team members on projects focused on energy recovery applications. Success in this role depends on strong teamwork and the ability to contribute to innovative engineering efforts.

Key Qualifications

  • Background in machine design
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA)
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and experimental validation for turbomachinery or high-pressure fluid systems
  • Proficiency in CAD software (such as SolidWorks)
  • Familiarity with FEA tools and engineering documentation practices
