This group oversees key areas such as Compute, Networking, DocumentDB, Distributed Caching, and High Assurance Engineering. Their work underpins every Stripe product and service, with a focus on high availability, cost-effectiveness, and supporting the productivity of Stripe’s employees.
The Core Performance team specializes in optimizing efficiency and reducing latency throughout Stripe’s infrastructure. Their efforts ensure Stripe’s platform operates smoothly at scale.
What you will do
- Lead, hire, and mentor engineers in Sydney, supporting their professional growth and development.
- Partner with other engineering teams to deliver infrastructure solutions that enhance scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Define the team’s vision and objectives, set priorities, and drive high-quality outcomes.
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Work with senior engineers and technical leaders to shape architectural and strategic decisions, translating technical strategies into actionable team plans.
- Coordinate with colleagues across different locations and time zones to maintain alignment and communication.
