THE ROLE
As an Engineering Manager for FlashArray File Features, you will lead a dedicated team in Prague, focused on enhancing Everpure’s™ market-leading file services. You will spearhead the mission to deliver enterprise-grade, highly available file capabilities that enable innovators worldwide to efficiently manage mission-critical data. This position uniquely combines in-depth systems-level engineering with impactful people leadership, requiring close collaboration with Product Management and global R&D teams to redefine the modern data experience. Your objective will be to ensure seamless scalability of our file environments while maintaining the reliability and performance associated with Everpure™.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive End-to-End Execution: Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for core file features, ensuring high-quality, scalable code is delivered from design to production.
- Shape Technical Strategy: Collaborate with senior architects and Product Management to establish a roadmap for multi-server and directory services, making key decisions that balance feature innovation with system stability.
- Cultivate Engineering Excellence: Foster a culture of rigorous testing and CI/CD practices, encouraging engineers to take ownership of operational excellence and defect prevention.
- Empower and Develop Talent: Manage and mentor a team of 5-8 engineers, providing technical guidance on complex distributed systems while supporting their career growth.
- Operational Leadership: Align team objectives with global business goals by managing dependencies across Protocol and Security teams, ensuring predictable releases that adhere to the highest security and auditing standards.
