To be considered for the Engineering Operations Technician I position, candidates should meet the following qualifications:A minimum of one year of college education progressing toward an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field, along with at least one year of progressive experience in construction project administration. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Required Skills:Basic knowledge of engineering operations and construction project controls. Familiarity with inspection and monitoring techniques. Strong documentation and organizational skills.

ProSidian is actively seeking a dedicated Engineering Operations Technician I specializing in Construction Project Controls Engineering [FHWA09009] to provide program support on an exempt W2 basis, eligible for overtime, while working on-site at our client’s location in the Vancouver, WA area. This position is part of a contract contingent role located across the CONUS, primarily serving the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) within the Western Federal Lands Highway Division (WFLHD).

The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in the Federal Government's Transportation Infrastructure sector, bringing both functional and technical expertise to enhance our professional services engagement. This role involves on-site engineering support, focusing on construction administration, project scheduling, budgeting, and record-keeping.

JOB OVERVIEW

As an Engineering Operations Technician I, you will deliver essential on-site engineering support services within the Federal Government's Transportation Infrastructure sector. Your role will primarily involve ensuring the smooth operation of engineering solutions for clients, including the U. S. Department of Transportation (FHWA | WFLHD). Responsibilities include monitoring infrastructure systems, conducting inspections, documenting operational data, and assisting with preventive maintenance activities while adhering to FHWA and DOT standard operating procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide on-site engineering operations support, including routine inspections and monitoring of facilities and infrastructure systems.
  • Collect and document operational data and support preventive maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers and contractors to address system faults and service requests effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with FHWA and DOT policies and procedures.
