Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Guide and mentor a skilled team of project engineers to oversee engineering operations across battery systems, platforms, and integration initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and career advancement opportunities for team members.
- Implement engineering project management best practices, processes, and standards to foster efficiency.
- Champion engineering excellence through detailed design reviews, technical evaluations, and continuous improvement strategies.
- Encourage collaboration among various engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, software, and systems engineering.
Program & Project Management
- Oversee the complete program delivery of the Allye MAX range of Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Handle multiple engineering projects simultaneously from initial concept to large-scale manufacturing.
- Ensure accountability for program quality, timeline adherence, cost management, feature development, technology roadmaps, and risk management.
- Coordinate complex workflows across internal teams and external partners.
- Track project progress using engineering metrics and KPIs, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and devise effective mitigation strategies.
Technical Engineering Oversight
- Formulate comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements at both system and subsystem levels.
- Lead the definition of system architecture and ensure it aligns with program goals.
- Make critical decisions regarding engineering trade-offs in component selection and technology adoption.
- Supervise technical design reviews and approval processes for systems, subsystems, and individual components.
- Advance battery integration strategies, thermal management solutions, and power electronics optimization.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, grid codes (G99), and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Management & Documentation
- Collaborate with suppliers and project partners to guarantee timely and high-quality engineering solutions.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, DFMEAs, test plans, and validation protocols.
- Manage engineering design release processes and change management procedures.
- Implement cost tracking, optimize Bill of Materials (BoM), and manage weight reporting.
- Deliver technical program updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
