Your Mission at Yotpo As an Engineering Team Lead, you will serve as the technical cornerstone of a dynamic product team. Your objective is to foster a high-velocity engineering culture where end-to-end ownership is embraced and frequent deployments to production are a standard practice.
Within a Product Operating Model, you will guide a team of engineers in a high-performing environment, enabling them to utilize a modern and diverse tech stack to tackle intricate challenges. Your aim is to create a powerful engine of impact that prioritizes speed in innovation, maintains exceptional quality, and grants engineers autonomy in their craft.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery Management: Oversee the team’s delivery lifecycle, ensuring a consistent shipping cadence while managing technical debt and maintaining stability without compromising velocity.
- Team Leadership & Growth: Mentor engineers at all levels, nurturing their professional development, conducting performance evaluations, and cultivating a cohesive, psychologically safe team environment.
- Operational Excellence & Quality: Promote a culture of craftsmanship. Set high standards for code quality, testing, monitoring, and incident response to ensure that systems are robust, secure, and dependable.
- Product Strategy & Discovery: Collaborate with Product and Design teams to drive Continuous Discovery, swiftly validating ideas and ensuring that solutions align with measurable business objectives.
- Technical Direction: Steer the architectural vision and technical decision-making for the team, balancing immediate product requirements with long-term system health and scalability.
