Role Overview
The Engineering Team Leader at Remote guides a small team and represents its interests. This person manages team dynamics, supports growth, and creates an environment where engineers can do their best work. The focus is on empowering others and steering the team toward strong execution, rather than being the top individual contributor.
What You Will Do
- Lead a product team of 3-5 engineers, including both backend and frontend specialists.
- Spend about 30% of your time on management tasks, with the rest dedicated to hands-on product development.
- Take part in recruiting new team members and support hiring efforts across the company.
- Manage onboarding for new engineers joining the team.
- Serve as the main spokesperson for the team, building positive relationships and motivating team members.
- Give ongoing, constructive feedback to help engineers grow.
- Support the career progression of each direct report and encourage the development of the team as a whole.
- Coach and guide engineers in their daily work.
- Implement autonomous agents as the default approach for engineering execution.
- Suggest and put into practice new workflows to improve how the team works.

This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in Iberia.
