Job Overview

As an Engineering Technician, you will be instrumental in supporting research and development (R&D) initiatives and collaborating with diverse portfolio teams. Your responsibilities will encompass the complete development cycle of hardware prototypes, including the design and assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs), mechanical components, and software scripts. You will conduct tests and experiments that facilitate the transition to manufacturing readiness while meticulously documenting processes and tracking test data and results. This role thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced setting where teamwork is paramount. You will have the chance to engage in various projects and collaborate with a talented group of engineers to enhance your knowledge and skills.

Essential Functions

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electronic systems.
  • Diagnose and repair circuit boards.
  • Perform soldering on PCBs with Surface-Mounted Components (SMCs).
  • Utilize oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and other testing equipment to evaluate circuit boards.
  • Execute Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) soldering on circuit boards.
  • Construct wire harnesses and cables based on limited documentation.
  • Modify circuit boards with wire jumpers and PCB trace alterations.
  • Support 5S and Lean methodologies to uphold a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Document testing procedures and data to ensure repeatability and consistency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee timely completion of tests and projects.
  • Assist in the setup of testing platforms and event arrangements.
  • Review and interpret PCB layouts for accurate implementation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
