Key Responsibilities:- Integrate electromechanical systems with standard automotive vehicles- Construct electrical and/or mechatronic systems- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of complex electromechanical systems- Resolve issues arising from modifications, inherent vehicle problems, or system interfaces- Document field issues and maintenance activities- Generate reports and maintain records of testing methods, lab equipment, and specifications to support engineering efforts- Assist with autonomous vehicle setup at customer sites- Perform basic software tasks, including uploading updated code to various vehicle subsystems- Effectively communicate with remote hardware teams, local mechanics, and testing engineersRequired Skills:- Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting technical drawings and schematics- Foundational understanding of automotive systems and repairs- Experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting- Basic electrical skills including soldering, fault identification, and wiring harnesses- Basic mechanical skills with familiarity in vehicle maintenance- Knowledge of air systems, ideally semi-truck air brake systems- Ability to lift over 40 lbs- Willingness to travel up to 30%Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or transportation is advantageous- SMT soldering expertise, including hand board assembly techniques
