Join us in leveraging our extensive experience in rocket and spacecraft development to deploy Starlink, the most advanced broadband internet system in the world. As the largest satellite constellation, Starlink provides fast and reliable internet access to millions globally. We are responsible for the design, development, testing, and operation of the entire system, including thousands of satellites, consumer receivers for immediate connectivity, and the software that integrates everything. We are just beginning to explore the global impact of Starlink and seek top-tier engineers to enhance its utility for communities and businesses worldwide.
As SpaceX's most intricate software engineering challenge, Starlink encompasses various domains within software engineering. As a Software Engineer on this program, you will tackle challenges that are pivotal to the program's expansion. Possible areas of impact include:
- Next-generation networking technologies to efficiently manage data through a dynamic network of satellites, ground stations, aircraft, and users.
- Firmware, embedded, and control software for custom hardware operating the largest fleet of spacecraft.
- Infrastructure and tools that facilitate rapid development and reliable deployment of our code in dynamic production environments.
- Measurement systems software and hardware supporting our in-house RF silicon designs.
- Full lifecycle development of Starlink.com and our Mobile/Enterprise platforms.
- Physics-based software engineering for designing and simulating the orbital lifecycle of the Starlink constellation.
