Requirements:A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus one (1) year of systems engineering experience. ORTwelve (12) credit hours of college coursework in one (1) or more of the ISO/IEC 15288 Technical Process Areas may substitute for the required one (1) year of systems engineering experience. ORA High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of general system engineering experience (any Process Area) may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Security Clearance: An active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph is required to be considered for this role; candidates must have the ability to receive privileged access rights.

Join avalore as an Entry-Level Systems Engineer, where you will play a critical role in supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. You will apply systems engineering principles throughout all phases of the systems life cycle, including Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. Your engagement with government stakeholders will focus on addressing technical considerations related to systems engineering and resolving associated challenges. Effective communication with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives will be crucial to your success.

Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables across multiple process areas defined by ISO/IEC 15288, which include:

  • Technical Process Areas: Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal.
  • Project Process Areas: Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement.
  • Enterprise Process Areas: Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
  • Agreement Process Areas: Acquisition and Supply.

You will also perform systems engineering activities and assist in preparing work products in the Technical Process Areas associated with ISO/IEC 15288.
