Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or a related field is required. A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in the environmental sector, with both laboratory and field exposure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat. Basic laboratory handling and sampling skills, including calibration and troubleshooting of various meters and equipment. Experience operating equipment for air and vapor sampling. Familiarity with environmental regulations and a strong commitment to health and safety. OSHA 10 training QSP certification is preferred. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in field notes is essential. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive field work, including soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment investigations.
  • Perform both stormwater and non-stormwater sampling and testing.
  • Execute construction site inspections, focusing on erosion and sediment controls.
  • Utilize air sampling equipment to gather ambient and personal air samples.
  • Prepare and maintain chains of custody for all collected samples.
  • Employ direct reading instruments to gather on-site field data.
  • Assist in data collection, compilation, interpretation, and reporting for phased environmental site assessments, remediation, and monitoring.
  • Draft technical reports for review by senior staff members.
  • Manage and organize sampling data efficiently.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time throughout the Bay Area.
