ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and enhance environmental programs at the Bastrop, TX facility.
- Ensure adherence to all environmental regulations set by the EPA, TCEQ, CERCLA, RCRA, DOT, and other relevant state and federal agencies.
- Monitor and analyze new and evolving environmental laws and regulations, providing strategic advice to management.
- Conduct environmental audits to confirm compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage and oversee the hazardous materials management plan, compliance calendars, and recordkeeping software.
- Ensure operational compliance with site plans, including storm water pollution prevention and spill prevention protocols.
- Maintain Title V Permit and fulfill recordkeeping obligations.
- Oversee compliance requirements for permitted sources defined by the local AQMD.
- Manage hazardous waste reporting and compliance under TCEQ and EPA guidelines.
- Coordinate with contractors for permitting and environmental testing, ensuring accurate record maintenance.
- Support the Environmental Health and Safety team with operational compliance as needed.
- Assist in planning for facility changes, evaluating new equipment and programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Foster positive relationships with federal, state, and county regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams across the site.
