POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for an Epoxy Engineer Specialist with extensive knowledge of epoxy materials, formulations, and dispensing processes utilized in optical and photonic devices. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the high reliability, yield, and performance of optical assemblies through careful adhesive selection, development, and process optimization.
You will collaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and global operations teams, serving as the technical authority for epoxy-related challenges across our product lines.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Materials & Process Development
Develop, evaluate, and optimize epoxy formulations for diverse optical and photonic applications (die attach, fiber attach, lid seal, underfill, etc.)
Choose adhesives based on optical, thermal, mechanical, and reliability specifications
Define and validate dispensing, curing, and handling processes suitable for production settings
Establish process windows, material specifications, and control plans
Troubleshooting & Yield Improvement
Lead root-cause analysis for adhesive-related failures (such as delamination and voids)
