Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily production support for our private cloud infrastructure, including operating system and hypervisor provisioning, automation development, and charge-back processes for OS template creation and updates.
Implement architectural updates and enhancements to the private cloud offering, ensuring system integrity through backups, patch installations, and performance monitoring.
Collaborate with project and application development teams to integrate new business initiatives related to the private cloud.
Support VMware VSphere and manage associated tools such as Vcenter, VCAC, VCOPS, and SRM.
Manage disaster recovery plans and ensure compliance with vulnerability and operating system patches.
Troubleshoot complex issues impacting customer operations.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Unix/Linux Server Infrastructure engineering and support operations.
5+ years of experience with open source Linux operating systems (RHEL, CENTOS, Ubuntu) in enterprise environments.
5+ years in installing and configuring Linux systems.
2+ years of experience supporting cloud-based infrastructure and open-source hypervisors.
Strong scripting skills in Bash, Perl, Python, and UNIX Shell scripts.
Expertise in system administration, including performance tuning and server hardening.
