Role overview
This position is for experienced Owner Operators running over-the-road (OTR) tanker routes from Cleveland, Ohio. Trips typically require drivers to spend at least five days away from home at a time.
Main responsibilities
- Transport chemical and petroleum products using tank trailers while following all DOT safety regulations.
- Maintain your truck to meet inspection standards and keep equipment in reliable condition.
- Use correct loading and unloading procedures for ISO/Flexi-Bag or tanker operations.
- Keep accurate logs and complete required Hazmat paperwork and compliance documentation.
- Represent Altom Transport professionally at customer locations.
- Handle business tasks such as fuel purchases, trip planning, and scheduling to maximize revenue.
- Meet mileage or hour targets to ensure a steady workload and support operational goals.
- Be available for 24/7 operations as needed.
