Tableau Developer | Your Role
As a Tableau Developer, you will design and implement high-performance, scalable dashboards that address business requirements. Your expertise in SQL and database management will ensure efficient query performance and optimized dashboard functionality. You will take full ownership of Tableau environments from development to production, minimizing the need for supervision. Adhering to established best practices and standards for dashboard development, version control, and testing will be key to your success. Collaboration with engineers during peer reviews will help maintain high-quality outputs.
Tableau Developer | Daily Responsibilities
- Design and optimize Tableau dashboards, focusing on efficient filter usage and field relationships to enhance performance.
- Create and optimize SQL queries that support robust Tableau visualizations.
- Oversee Tableau environments, including development, QA, and production, with minimal guidance.
- Diagnose and resolve dashboard issues across various customer deployments.
- Implement engineering best practices for version control, testing, and Git deployment of Tableau assets.
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts through peer reviews and knowledge sharing to uplift team capabilities.
Tableau Developer | Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tableau Developer or BI Analyst, with strong technical acumen.
- Proficient in SQL and relational database concepts relevant to Tableau data sources.
- Proven track record of optimizing Tableau dashboards for performance and scalability.
- Experience with Tableau Server environments and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git for Tableau development.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
