Join our dynamic team as a Vice President / Director of Environmental Remediation, where your commercial acumen and leadership skills will play a pivotal role in expanding our Liability Assessment & Remediation division within our Environmental, Health & Safety practice.Growth Opportunity: This position is tailored for a high-impact leader who will work closely with service-line executives, drive market expansion, and significantly contribute to the strategic direction and performance of our initiatives.Core Responsibilities:Client & Market Leadership: Spearhead marketing efforts for environmental remediation services across various sectors, develop and implement regional growth strategies, cultivate client relationships, and enhance cross-selling opportunities with J.S. Held’s complementary practices.Technical Program Management: Direct investigations, design, and execution of remediation and mitigation projects for soil and groundwater (including vapour, PCBs, PFAS, petroleum, and hazardous materials). Oversee environmental due diligence activities, liability assessments, cost-to-remediate modeling, and regulatory strategies involving programs like NJDEP, CERCLA, RCRA, Brownfields, and LSRP coordination.Transaction & Advisory Services: Provide strategic advice to clients regarding environmental risk allocation, indemnities, reserves, and insurance relations. Prepare comprehensive reports and expert testimonies for negotiations and litigation support, including expert witness services when necessary.Project Management: Exhibit proficiency in managing intricate, multi-site remediation projects, ensuring alignment across scope, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.Leadership & Talent Development: Recruit, mentor, and nurture talent while establishing best practices for service delivery, safety, and client engagement. Drive utilization, margin enhancement, pipeline health, and forecasting, and support pricing strategies and proposal development.
