This position involves loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site, utilizing both manual labor and lift trucks.Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret work orders and shipping instructions to accurately locate products in the warehouse or rental yard.Efficiently load and unload materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves using forklifts, hand trucks, or manually.Secure materials in vehicles with appropriate strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit.Follow safe material handling procedures when lifting or moving equipment and materials and while directing movement.Label and tag materials or packaging containers for identification.Stack and bundle materials and equipment properly, utilizing banding, skids, and containers as needed.Maintain cleanliness in the yard area and ensure products, materials, and equipment are free of debris.Inspect and prepare products and equipment for re-stocking and re-rental, ensuring they meet cleanliness and repair standards.Utilize cleaning machinery and hand tools for renovation tasks as necessary.Keep accurate inventory counts and maintain an organized inventory layout.Perform additional duties as assigned.
