For over 40 years, we have been committed to building better communities.In this internship, the selected candidate will gain valuable surveying experience across both rural and urban environments in Alaska, engaging in a variety of projects including boundary and subdivision plats, topographic surveys, right-of-way surveys, ALTA surveys, Hydrographic surveys, UAV Aerial surveys, and Laser Scanning surveys.Interns will have the chance to contribute to diverse projects such as road improvements, water and sewer systems, drainage and site enhancements, restaurants, educational facilities, power plants, bulk fuel facilities, water treatment plants, airports, flood modeling, and coastal erosion management.The role involves utilizing advanced surveying technology including Leica GPS, robotic surveying equipment, laser scanning devices, Leica and DJI drones, and Sonarmite DFX echosounder hydrographic equipment. Fieldwork may also require the use of 4-wheelers, snow machines, and boats. In the office, interns will be responsible for data reduction and mapping using software such as Leica, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Pix4D.
