Ripple Effect is hiring a Communications Project Manager with expertise in IT and cybersecurity. This full-time, exempt position is based in Arlington, VA, with partial telework available. Only US citizens are eligible for this role.
Role overview
This position focuses on shaping and delivering communication strategies that support both client and internal IT and cybersecurity initiatives. The Communications Project Manager manages projects from initial strategy through final execution, ensuring that messaging is clear, timely, and aligned with organizational objectives. Public engagement and increasing awareness around cybersecurity topics are core parts of the job.
What you will do
- Technical execution: Lead the rollout of communication strategies, assess feasibility, monitor for deviations, and keep stakeholders informed about decisions and risks.
- Communication strategy & leadership: Develop comprehensive communication plans, maintain brand consistency, and present complex topics in clear, actionable language.
- Cybersecurity awareness campaigns: Plan and deliver campaigns to boost public understanding and participation in cybersecurity efforts.
- Schedule & timeline management: Build and manage project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery of communication materials.
- Quality management & continuous improvement: Identify and address quality issues, uphold high standards, and support process improvements.
- Documentation & knowledge management: Oversee documentation to ensure communications are organized, compliant, and tailored to stakeholder needs.
- Business & client relations: Build strong relationships with clients, anticipate needs, and align communication strategies with client goals.
