Job Summary
We are in search of a highly skilled Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead and manage our comprehensive security program for our cleared facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring strict compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM, 32 CFR Part 117), Department of Defense directives, and other applicable regulations. The FSO will be responsible for overseeing facility clearances (FCLs), personnel security, physical and information security measures, as well as compliance activities to uphold our expanding defense operations within a secure environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- General Security Program Management:
- Direct the management, administration, and development of the facility's security program, including the establishment and maintenance of security plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and compliance documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NISPOM, DoD 5220.22-M, and contract-specific security requirements for cleared facilities.
- Provide security operations guidance and procedures, collaborating with senior leadership to identify and resolve security issues.
- Conduct security audits, self-inspections, vulnerability assessments, and support Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) reviews and inspections.
- Manage responses to security incidents and violations, carry out investigations, document findings, recommend corrective actions, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee on-site security operations, prioritize tasks, and deliver immediate security support to facility personnel.
Personnel Security and Access Control:
- Manage personnel security clearances (PCLs), including processing background investigations, security briefings, debriefings, and indoctrinations for cleared personnel.
- Maintain personnel security records using systems such as the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and Scattered Castles.
- Conduct access eligibility reviews and submit clearance requests as needed.
