We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Voice Technician to play a pivotal role in managing the program’s executive support group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment, with a strong emphasis on effective integration within a multi-contractor team.
The Voice Technician will be an essential member of our Telecommunications and Voice Services team, tasked with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of voice communication systems. This position is vital for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of voice services while adhering to DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and engineering standards. A solid understanding of telecommunications principles, particularly in voice communications, and a commitment to maintaining high-security standards and operational efficiency are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain voice communication systems, including VoIP and traditional telephony systems, ensuring compliance with DoD STIGs and relevant engineering standards.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot voice communication systems to promptly resolve issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous service availability.
- Assist in documenting and establishing baseline configurations for voice communication assets, ensuring accurate representation and reporting within the DoD-provided system.
- Provide technical support to users encountering issues with voice services, collaborating closely with IT support teams and external vendors as necessary. Work together with network infrastructure teams to guarantee seamless integration and operation of voice and data systems.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports related to voice system installations, maintenance, compliance, and performance.
