The Aviation Engineering Technical Practice Leader for the Americas will work closely with the Americas Aviation Lead to spearhead growth in aviation engineering practices, enhance the quality of service delivery, and bolster technical expertise within the team. This position is ideal for a motivated leader eager to advance a thriving engineering practice and who has established connections within commercial airport facilities. This role offers remarkable opportunities for collaboration with clients, federal, state, and local officials, industry associations, and project specialists in a dynamic and supportive work environment. The leader will engage with the Global Aviation team and regional transportation leaders in the US East and West.
Given the nature of this role, the position is flexible and can be performed remotely, with travel as needed.
Core Responsibilities
Practice Growth and Sales
Drive the growth strategy and sales of AECOM’s services within the Aviation sector, working closely with Regional Aviation Market Sector Leads, the Global Aviation team, and Regional Aviation Division Managers.
Collaborate with other business lines and regional sector leaders to ensure strategic business growth. Assist aviation capture managers in securing and delivering major engineering projects.
Establish strong relationships with clients, partners, industry groups, and stakeholders in the aviation sector, acting as a representative for AECOM.
Utilize technical expertise to contribute to the development of strategic capture plans that align with business development strategies and technical capabilities.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Participate in national collaboration across Aviation Planning, B+P, Construction Management, and other business lines for aviation civil engineering services.
- Develop and execute national strategies for aviation civil engineering projects that align with organizational goals, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Build and structure effective technical delivery teams with the necessary skills for successful project execution.
- Identify and recruit key industry talent in alignment with market strategies.
- Expand existing strategies to promote organizational growth throughout the Americas aviation market.
- Advise leadership on resource capabilities that support market growth and improve geographic reach.
- Identify and address resource gaps that may hinder growth.
