Role Overview
Are you an experienced project leader prepared to oversee intricate civil engineering projects from inception to completion? Galloway & Company, Inc. is looking for a Civil Project Engineer to take on a crucial role in our expanding team. In this client-facing position, you will combine hands-on project management with cross-disciplinary coordination and relationship building in a highly collaborative atmosphere. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing site designs and engineering documents, assisting in project permitting, and collaborating with both internal teams and external clients. Utilizing your expertise in civil engineering principles, you will tackle tasks such as site layout, grading, erosion control, and utility system design. With a strong focus on precision and performance, you will manage multiple projects while adhering to schedules and assisting in technical calculations and reporting. This position offers a unique chance to engage in a variety of project types, including subdivisions, commercial and multifamily developments, and public works initiatives. Additionally, you will play a vital role in business development by fostering client relationships and ensuring that the quality of your work speaks for itself.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Implementing civil engineering principles for site layout, grading, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control, and roadway design.
- Contributing to technical writing for civil reports, letters, and permit documents.
- Drafting construction documents utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
- Preparing improvement plans, specifications, and permit applications.
- Conducting and reviewing calculations for drainage systems, water/wastewater, and site earthwork quantities.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies in data through detailed processes.
- Managing numerous projects while being mindful of schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
- Actively participating in business development and client engagement initiatives.
