The ideal candidate will undertake a range of essential tasks related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance and repair activities across our preschool locations. For more information, visit www.sunshinehouse.com.Key Responsibilities:Conduct minor repairs and services in various disciplines, including carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical work, finish work, painting, HVAC, etc., excluding tasks related to building property management.Prioritize work orders with guidance from a supervisor, address urgent requests, and complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks and procedures.Ensure adherence to all building and maintenance policies, procedures, codes, and regulations, including safety standards.Manage occasional non-technical repairs, such as hanging pictures and desk or ceiling repairs.Be prepared for periodic overnight travel (one week every other month).Qualifications:Associate's degree in HVAC or a related field from a two-year college or technical institution, or equivalent training, or a combination of education and experience.2 to 3 years of mechanical experience, preferably in commercial or industrial settings, with a strong focus on facility maintenance and familiarity with electrical systems, building equipment, and repairs.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.Strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.Able to work independently and demonstrate resourcefulness.Strong customer service orientation.Adaptable and flexible in various situations.Must pass a criminal background check and possess a clean driving record.Physical Requirements:Ability to climb stairs and navigate uneven or narrow surfaces.Comfortable using ladders.Kneeling, bending, stretching, and stooping as necessary.Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving equipment and materials.
