Rocket Lab Ltd. develops and launches space systems, offering services from rocket launches to satellite manufacturing. The team is now building Neutron, a medium-lift, reusable rocket designed for larger constellation missions and new launch profiles. Space Systems also contributes to major projects, including NASA’s Moon and Mars programs and the James Webb Space Telescope.
The Neutron program brings together experts to design, test, and build Rocket Lab’s next-generation rocket and its infrastructure. This includes developing the Archimedes engines and constructing new launch facilities in the United States. The goal is to enable the first launch of a large, reusable vehicle for a new range of missions.
Role overview
The Configuration Management Engineer - Neutron, based in Auckland, supports the Neutron product portfolio throughout its development. This position works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program strategy, operational requirements, and technical milestones. The engineer will help guide Neutron’s products through each development phase, providing support to both engineering and operations groups.
