About the Role
We are on the lookout for an adept Manufacturing Test Engineer who will play a crucial role in the deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of our automated manufacturing test systems designed in-house for the global production of battery backup systems. As a vital member of our team, you will ensure that our products not only meet but exceed global standards, contributing to the overall success of our projects. Your passion for engineering and agility in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment will be essential in this role.
What You’ll Do
Enhance uptime, reliability, cycle time, and first-pass yield (FPY) of manufacturing test equipment through proactive improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with manufacturing test equipment standards, addressing any deficiencies in performance.
Conduct preventive data analysis and engage in voice of the customer discussions to identify challenges with manufacturing test equipment after deployment, advocating for solutions that align with operational goals.
Leverage your understanding of engineering fundamentals of test equipment and system-level operations to serve as a key liaison with the design team and site operations.
Build, validate, and deploy test equipment to production lines at contract manufacturers and internally, ensuring thorough documentation for a smooth transition to production.
Offer ongoing troubleshooting support for test equipment post-deployment.
Assist in equipment troubleshooting and qualification during the development and ramp-up phases of manufacturing equipment.
What You’ll Bring
A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing electrical test systems.
Familiarity with a diverse range of test and automation systems, production machinery, industrial sensors, data acquisition systems, safety protocols, and I/O devices (e.g., pogo-pins, pressure transducers, temperature controllers, current and power meters).
