Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for optimizing supplier manufacturing processes to produce high-quality and cost-effective products. Collaborating closely with suppliers and internal teams, you will drive improvements in both products and processes, manage supply chain challenges, and facilitate the seamless integration of new products into mass production.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the transition of supplier production lines from initial prototyping to full-scale manufacturing, ensuring all equipment, staffing, and processes are prepared for success.
- Engage directly with suppliers to evaluate, design, and enhance manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining the ability to scale without sacrificing quality.
- Oversee the supplier qualification process, including conducting audits of manufacturing facilities, production methodologies, and quality standards. Execute all components of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure the successful launch of new products.
- Address supplier quality issues through identification, root cause analysis, and the implementation and verification of corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage engineering changes related to suppliers, including modifications to materials, components, and production processes, ensuring all changes align with quality standards and are effectively integrated into the supply chain.
