What You Will Do Security Control Implementation & Operations: Help implement, monitor, and maintain security controls for information systems. This includes routine activities such as vulnerability scanning, reviewing logs, analyzing events, and supporting incident response (evidence collection and stakeholder coordination) under the direction of senior staff. Continuous Monitoring & Risk Management: Contribute to continuous monitoring (ISCM) to assess how well security controls are working. Support risk assessments, help plan remediation for vulnerabilities, and track actions through validation and closure to meet federal cybersecurity requirements. Network & System Security: Support the establishment and maintenance of security controls across both wired and wireless networks. Assist with access control, identity management, and system hardening, working closely with engineering and operations teams to keep configurations secure. Collaboration This role involves regular interaction with system owners, engineers, and authorizing officials to integrate security into all phases of system design, delivery, and ongoing operations.
