We are looking for a dedicated Customer Care Agent Airside Driver to manage the daily operations of the Passenger Assistance Services team. The role involves operating ambulifts and minibuses on the airfield to transfer passengers with reduced mobility (PRMs) to and from the aircraft and terminal building.
Your responsibilities will include driving the company’s ambulifts, ensuring the vehicle's safety and security, and assisting passengers from the aircraft door to their seats or wheelchairs using safe manual handling techniques. You will also perform Customer Care Agent and Minibus Driver duties as assigned by the Operational Management Team.
As a vital member of the Assisted Travel Airside Driver Team, you will navigate specialist vehicles across the airfield, ensuring a seamless transfer experience for PRMs.
Note: A valid UK driving licence is required for applicants.

What We Offer:
- Hourly Pay Rate: £15.19

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles ranging from minibuses to Class 2 rigid heavy goods vehicles, accommodating 6 to 20 passengers. Assist PRMs onto the aircraft, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Enhance the passenger experience for individuals with reduced mobility throughout their airport journey.
- Drive Ambilift hi-lift and minibus vehicles airside at Birmingham International Airport.
- Engage in continuous training for professional development.
- Complete daily vehicle checklists to ensure operational reliability and report any issues as per inspection procedures.
- Ensure the safe operation and security of company vehicles at all times.
- Plan efficient transport for multiple PRMs and their companions to aircraft, ensuring timely departures.
- Coordinate the boarding and disembarkation of PRMs in collaboration with aircraft dispatch and cabin crew for smooth transitions.
- Maintain overall responsibility for the operation of all features of the Ambilift vehicle, including tail lifts and platform controls.
