AECOM is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Civil Inspector to provide essential construction inspection services for the development of a Water Treatment Plant Facility in New Jersey. This is a full-time on-site position that requires a commitment to ensuring high-quality construction practices.The Senior Civil Inspector will play a critical role in overseeing civil infrastructure inspections, identifying defects and potential hazards, and ensuring compliance with contract specifications. Responsibilities include:Monitoring contractor construction activities, validating compliance with contract documents, rejecting substandard work, and assisting in resolving construction challenges.Collaborating with contractors to plan and verify upcoming work according to issued schedules.Reviewing all contract documentation, including submittals and shop drawings.Maintaining daily communication with the AECOM Resident Engineer and contractor's field team.Tracking and documenting daily work progress and contractor adherence to schedule, providing feedback on payment requests.Performing inspections to ensure that all work complies with contract documents and approved changes, meticulously documenting findings with reports, photographs, and videos.Maintaining comprehensive project records, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports and logs.Providing input on construction changes and assisting in the preparation and negotiation of field orders and change orders.Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols on-site.Coordinating contractor activities with Plant Operations, particularly on civil and structural items.Verifying the quality and compliance of materials and equipment from approved vendors.
