ABOUT THE TEAM
The Space Imaging team is in search of a Systems Engineer to join our ranks. Responsible for defining system architecture, conducting trade analyses, and modeling as well as validating system performance for spaceborne electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems, this role is critical to our mission.
In this position, you will take the lead in defining active EO/IR system architectures, perform radiometric performance modeling, and carry out laboratory, ground, and flight testing. You will model atmospheric and environmental impacts on land, sea, and air targets to accurately predict real-world performance. Your analytical insights will guide system-level architectural decisions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to lead small teams of engineers from the initial concept phase through system definition and development.
To succeed, you should possess a proven history of collaboration within fast-paced, highly technical, interdisciplinary teams. Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages such as MATLAB or Python is essential. Familiarity with industry-standard EO/IR modeling software packages (e.g., MODTRAN, SPIRITS, AFSIM) is advantageous, and prior experience with space sensors and systems is preferred.
